Armadillidium vulgare (Woodlouse).

Woodlice are crustacean with a rigid, segmented exoskeleton and fourteen jointed limbs. They need moisture because they rapidly lose water. A. vulgare is an introduced species from Europe and common in the US.

The water of our lake is rather clear this spring and I was surprised to see fish and mussels from our little dock. I wasn't sure whether to include them here, but then I also found an empty shell at the water edge. If someone could help me identifying these freshwater mussels, I would really appreciate it.
